So... I have another week done of this year's digital scrapbook. I know I'll get faster (*optimistic*) as the weeks go on and my workflow (and digi scrapbooking skills!) improve. Still clawing up the learning curve.
Speaking of learning curves, I joined CreativeLIVE's free Photoshop Week as much as a mother of three can this week (it goes through Saturday). My brain is exploding and my fingers are itching; it's been great to have that feeling again.
For this week of Project Life, I ended up deciding to include an "insert" page of sorts. Using one of Becky Higgins's templates, I made two pages (one page front and back in the final scrapbook) to include more pictures of two more special, photo-rich, occasions. (I decided this was better than trying to cram too many pictures that I couldn't let go of into the allotted two pages. A slippery slope, I know; I don't want to make too many exceptions to the two pages per week rule, but I felt relieved about this decision this time.)So that's why there's extra space on the sides of the insert pages. I haven't decided yet whether to print the whole year as a photobook or to print out my layouts as 12x12 photos and insert them into page protectors. Either way, I'll crop out the extra gray on the sides of the insert section in order to make these pages placed "within" this week of my Project Life album.
Here's kind of a more bird's-eye view so you can envision the layouts how they'll appear in the final book a bit better.
My favorite is the insert panel. What's yours?
Fantastic, Sweetie! Love these pix, your writing, and your artistry in presentation. You make me actually like scrapbooking. Clear and easy to take in ....
